Josh has over two-decades experience guiding entrepreneurs and families as a CFP® fiduciary financial advisor; Tenured Professor of Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship; business consultant; and founder of Purposeful Finance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Josh teaches Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship courses as a Tenured Professor at El Camino College in Los Angeles. He has written personal finance and entrepreneurship curriculum that has been adopted by multiple community colleges. His personal finance curriculum has been accepted by the CSU Chancellors Office as meeting general education math requirements for all Cal State Universities.

He has been quoted in articles in dozens of media including Forbes, Consumer Reports, CNBC and more. And he was ranked the #1 financial advisor nationally by Investopedia’s Advisor Insights*.

Ashley McWhorter Keamo MFP

Financial Planner

Ashley is pursuing her doctorate in financial planning at Texas Tech University and has a passion for the psychology of personal financial planning.

Ashley has worked in a variety of industries and came to financial planning after seeing how increased financial literacy improves lives. Her background includes work as a compliance analyst for Goldman Sachs, research assistant at UC San Diego, and financial planner.

Ashley has conducted primary research in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina on consumer trust in financial markets within the context of South America. Her current research includes work within the topics of blended families, financial self-efficacy, and communication around money. Apart from work and school, she loves to go salsa dancing and eat sushi.
